President’s Message
Kho Kho is one of Asia’s most dynamic and exciting traditional sports. Deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of India, the game represents speed, agility, strategy, teamwork, discipline and sporting courage. Today, Kho Kho is attracting athletes, coaches, officials, administrators and enthusiasts across Asia.
The Asian Kho Kho Federation remains committed to leading the organised growth and development of Kho Kho through strong governance, Asian cooperation, athlete development, technical education and structured competition. In close collaboration with affiliated National Kho Kho Federations and other stakeholders, we are working to establish sustainable pathways from schools and grassroots programmes to national championships and Asian competitions.
The expanding reach of Kho Kho across Asia is a matter of great pride and encouragement. The Federation’s member network reflects the collective commitment of Asian countries to introduce, promote and strengthen Kho Kho within their respective communities.
National and Asian championships, technical workshops, coaching programmes, referees’ seminars, development forums and capacity-building initiatives are being undertaken to improve technical knowledge, raise officiating standards and promote consistency in the interpretation and implementation of the Rules of Kho Kho. Particular emphasis is being placed on youth participation, women’s development, technical education and the creation of opportunities for athletes, coaches and officials throughout the Federation’s Asian network.
Kho Kho has continued to evolve through carefully considered amendments and innovations intended to make the game faster, more competitive, spectator-friendly and suitable for continental participation, while preserving its traditional character, fundamental principles and cultural identity. The integration of modern competition systems, digital platforms, performance analysis and transparent governance practices will further strengthen the professional administration and presentation of the sport across Asia.
This official website represents an important step towards creating a transparent, informative and connected Federation. It will serve as a central platform for information relating to governance, affiliated members, competitions, rules and regulations, development programmes, news, technical resources and other activities of the Asian Kho Kho Federation. It will also enable athletes, officials, member federations and supporters to remain connected with the continued progress of the sport.
I sincerely acknowledge the contribution of all affiliated Asian National Federations, office bearers, technical experts, coaches, referees, athletes, administrators, volunteers and supporters whose dedicated efforts continue to advance Kho Kho. The growth of the sport is the result of our shared commitment and cooperation across Asia.
I am confident that, through unity, professional governance and sustained development, Kho Kho will continue to expand across Asian countries and communities.
